Store Policies
Sales Tax
- New York State buyers are subject to 8.875% sales tax.
- Tax will be calculated based on the total selling price of the item (including shipping/handling) and itemized in the eBay invoice we send you.
Shipping
- We take pride in expertly packing our items for safe shipment. Whenever possible, we use recycled materials to reduce our environmental impact.
- High-End Audio Auctions gets competitive shipping rates, and we extend these discounts directly to our customers. We do not profit on shipping charges.
- Buyer is responsible for all shipping charges, VAT (value added tax), and customs fees - if applicable. Before bidding or purchasing, please check with your local postal carrier/customs office for more information about these possible fees. Under no circumstances is High-End Audio Auctions liable for additional shipping charges, VAT or customs fees charged to you. In the event of a return, we are not responsible for, nor can we refund you for, any applicable VAT and/or customs fees charged to you.
- Under no circumstance will High-End Audio Auctions adjust or falsify an item’s declared value for customs or importing purposes.
- We require all shipments to be insured. In cases of high value items, additional insurance may apply - above eBay's calculated shipping price.
- In the rare case that an item is damaged in transit, buyer must contact High-End Audio Auctions within 4 business days of delivery. Buyer MUST retain all box and packing materials in order for us to file an insurance claim. Failure to retain packaging will void your right to receive insurance reimbursement or credit for shipping damages.
- Once payment is cleared, we aim to ship your item with 1 business day turnaround, but items that require more complicated packaging may take up to 3 business days. You will receive an update and tracking information when your item ships.
- For updates on package delivery, please use the tracking number provided and confirm with the shipping provider.
Payment
- Items must be paid for within 5 calendar days of the auction end. If you cannot comply, please contact us prior to bidding.
- We accept PayPal, bank transfers, certified checks and bank checks.
- In accordance with eBay guidelines, all shipments will be held until payment has cleared.
- Cash is accepted for local pickup only (see note above).
Voltage, Defective Items and AS IS Items
- Unless otherwise stated in the listing, all items that require power are manufactured for the US market and run on 120V @ 60Hz. We are not equipped to convert voltages.
- In the rare case that an item is defective upon arrival, buyer must contact High-End Audio Auctions within 4 business days or we cannot assume responsibility.
- When an item is listed AS IS we do our best to describe the item, but cannot be held responsible for any issue with the item due to age or condition. Please review pictures and details carefully. Under no circumstances will we accept the return of an AS IS item.
Returns
- Returns are accepted within 14 business days of item delivery (based on tracking information), with the exception of AS IS items that are not returnable.
- Returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee and shipping charges (both ways).
- Buyer is responsible for any VAT, tax or custom fees incurred as a result of an item return.
- Items must be returned with all original packing, including all accessories and manuals - in the exact same condition as delivered. Once these parameters have been met, a refund (minus 15% restocking fee and shipping) will be issued.
Warranty and Liability
- Unless otherwise stated in the listing, High-End Audio Auctions is not an authorized dealer for any of the products we sell. Please check with the item's manufacturer to confirm warranty eligibility.
- Under no circumstances shall High-End Audio Auctions be held responsible for any loss, damage or malfunction (including personal injury) resulting from or caused by anyone's use of our items.
